Handcrafted flies and precise casting to fool fish in shallow, clear water. It's about technique, stealth and finesse — built for anglers who want the hunt as much as the catch.
Your captain & your water
Captain Santiago Javier Aldrey — born and raised in Puerto Rico — has spent more than 15 years guiding anglers to tarpon, snook and jack crevalle. USCG licensed with first aid and CPR training, he's won the Nico Guzmán Cup four times at CYC tarpon tournaments, a 12-hour shootout, and multiple PRLTA inshore titles.
His hunting ground: the San José and Torrecillas lagoons, a mangrove estuary holding the highest concentration of tarpon on the island — calm, protected water where the fishing never has an off-season.
Word from the dock
★★★★★
“Hooked six tarpon before nine in the morning — landed three, including my first ever over 60 pounds. The captain put us on fish the whole trip.”
★★★★★
“Traveled with zero gear and it didn't matter — rods, flies, bait, drinks, even the fishing license were all handled. Smoothest charter operation I've fished with.”
★★★★★
“My wife gets seasick on everything — not here. Dead calm lagoon, manatees alongside the boat, and she out-fished me two to one. We're already rebooked.”

WhatsApp usFishing follows its own rules — that's part of the game. But we average 6–7 strikes per charter, and landing 2–3 tarpon is a typical successful trip on this lagoon.
No — we guarantee it. Charters run on Laguna San José, which is completely flat, protected water. No swell, no chop, no queasy stomachs.
Nothing at all. High-quality rods, reels and lures, fresh live bait, water, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are all on board — plus instruction and hands-on help from your guide.
No — we handle the license and every other fishing requirement for you.
Up to 4 anglers on light tackle charters. Fly fishing trips are capped at 2 anglers — casting fly needs room to work.
In high season, book 2–3 days ahead to secure your spot. Same-day is sometimes possible, but live bait and other prep need to be arranged before your trip.
The boat leaves from Cangrejos Yacht Club marina, which has plenty of safe parking.
